Ben Fleury-Steiner is Professor of Sociology and Criminal Justice at the University of Delaware. His research focuses on the intersections of inequality, punishment, and social control in a variety of institutional contexts, including death penalty judgments, the identity politics of criminal justice policy and lawmaking, and the governance of historically marginalized groups.
